1. WORSHIP - relevant, contemporary and reverent Sunday worship
a) well-planned and sensitively led
b) where people expect to sense God's presence
c) including a sustained teaching ministry
d) with a high standard of music
e) including corporate prayer for ourselves and the world
f) opportunities for individual prayer ministry
g) regular participation in communion by all believers
h) meeting the needs of all ages
i) accessible to unchurched newcomers
2. EVANGELISM - equipped and active in evangelising the whole community
a) understanding our responsibility to evangelise our locality
b) ongoing training in evangelism
c) regular imaginative evangelistic events
d) further growth in 'fringe' of unbelievers
e) emphasis on personal evangelism with friends
f) church planting
g) membership growth substantially, mainly by conversion and subsequent baptism
3. WORLD MISSION - sending and supporting people in world mission
a) understanding our responsibility in mission
b) being well-informed about growth and needs of world church
c) realistic and consistent support of our existing missionaries in prayer, care and finance
d) sending more people abroad in long and short-term mission
4. SOCIAL ACTION - showing the compassion of God locally and more widely
a) caring for hurting individuals in our locality
b) having surveyed needs of local community
c) running projects/activities to support families
d) running projects/activities to support people with special needs
e) having the church-centre in use every day
f) supporting national and international initiatives for justice and righteousness organised by Christians
5. PRAYER - knowing God and releasing His power through prayer
a) praying regularly as individuals and with others
b) praying daring prayers and seeing mighty answers
c) backing up all activities and events with prayer
d) leaders meeting regularly to pray
e) members co-ordinating prayer needs for different issues
6. DISCIPLESHIP - growing in depth and becoming mature disciples
a) everyone understands that being a Christian means growing

c) an emphasis on discipleship in preaching and small group learning
d) identifying and using spiritual gifts of all members to serve Christ and His church

c) resolving the tensions from our diverse backgrounds by consensus and by 'unity in diversity'

b) with exciting church meetings where we expect to discern God's will for the church as we anticipate the Lord's return.
