| In January of 1979, through fortnightly meetings in homes for prayer, Bible study and fellowship, the church that was later to become Bridge of Don Baptist Church was established. Morning services began in June that same year and evening services followed three months later. In March 1980 the young church with 48 members was formally constituted as a Baptist church and welcomed into the Baptist Union of Scotland.
Today, under the pastoral care and leadership of Rev. Jarod Meenan, our vision for a commitment to prayer, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, world mission, social action, worship and church life continues to be blessed by God.
With a membership of around 130 and a regular Sunday morning worship service attendance of 180, the church firmly believes that God has placed us in Bridge of Don for a purpose - God's people are to be the light of the world.
In Matthew 22 verses 37-39 Jesus commands us to: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" and to "love your neighbour as yourself". We pray that as a fellowship we can live up to this in all that we do.
